anyways, tomorrow is the second last day of school!
went through the third last day today...

HAHA...
then Saturday got CYA interview...
I really dun wanna go for it... I might die of nervousness before I even get to be interviewed...
even though anusha keeps saying that if I dun go I would miss a chance... but I dunno whether I can really cope with it or not...

then next week got camp for seniors...
it would be my first night staying overnight in school..
heard rumors that there are ghosts in SP...

got PEEE tomorrow... HAIZ... i suck at this lar... don't understand why circuits can be that complicated just to find a stupid resistance or voltage... GRRRRR!~

we just had structured programming lab test today... so hard lar.. of all questions I got the hardest one... so annoying... it's so biased for them to have different questions for different people... the standard is just so different...

my stomach is growling now... need to get something to eat...

the case of the missing contact lenses

pwahahahaha!

something funny happened today...
okay, after coming back home, i went to remove my lenses before going to bathe...
the toilet where i usually remove and put-on the lenses- that toilet's blub actually blew... so i went to the kitchen toilet...

i didn't pull the corner of my eye tightly when i was removing my lenses, so when the lens 'came off', i thought i lost it because my vision was blur...

so i spent one hour searching blindly through the whole toilet... i was really desperate and everything... and it cost 176 dollars...

so when i couldn't find the lens... and tearfully bathed... i looked into the bathroom mirror, and found that my eye was red... and saw something blue at the bottom of my eye...

and it turned out to be my missing baby...
so i literally took the lenses from the bottom of my eye... disgusting but yes, i took it out...

maybe that's why many people dont wanna wear contacts... they can't bear the thought of touching, squeezing their eyeballs... and some are really lazy to clean their lenses... i got my lenses in the middle of March, and it's really okay... my eyes don't get dry and uncomfortable even when i wear them for more than 12 hours... oh well... talk about affinity with lenses...

i just met up with my old IJ friends today!!!!!! we were meeting in Plaza Sing... and i got really excited when i saw everyone...

but everyone's like so busy and stressed with their JC lives... i really wanna have a reunion dinner with all my friends!! miss them ALOT!!!

hate my cough... think it's getting worse...

we didn't have homework today~ for like 3 days of God-given holiday... YAYS!
but i feel kinda weird not going to school... it's like my first time loving to go school lar...

yo yo yo!
it's been a LOOOOONG time ever since i updated my blog... so i'd let you in on my life!

firstly, i went to my faculty's pre-orientation camp last last last week in St. John's island...
it was really fun and scary at the same time... when we went for the Night Quest for 2 nights, i was seriously freaked out at times.... i learnt how to tie an air- tight plastic water bomb, chatted with my girl friends until 3 plus in the night...and the disco night!! (collapsed onto the bed after partying for like- 3 to 4 hours?).... and because of this camp, everyone was really bonded... made a lot of friends.... the camp had a lot of guys though... the guy-girl ratio was about 4:1?

and then we had orientation week in poly... quite okay actually...

and then there was flag-day...
me and jia zhi were together most of the time... we were actually diligently collecting money until like 1 plus then we decided to take a break... and ended up chatting most of the time...
anyways... i collected like- 59.90 bucks... the most amount of money i ever collected of all the times i did flag day.... there were other people who collected 90 plus... whatever...

SUP PEOPLE!~
long time no blog lol...

been really busy (at times lazy XP) to post here...
anyways...
just to provide updates on my life,
1. I quit my job
2. I got contact lenses
3. I finally got the courage to shave my legs
4. I went on a MAJOR shopping spree
5. I'm starting school in... 8 days
6. Going off for pre-orientation camp in.... 4 days~

with regards to #1, my new boss pissed me off SO badly, and kept making me give flyers, not letting me earn any commission, and I have no mood to even work because of all the stupid excitement regarding my camp and new school... so.... yeah~ I quit.

pretty okay actually... I love my new face without glasses... but the 'grooming' of my new lenses can be really inconvenient.

Enrolement Day

today i went for my school's enrolement day~
and it was pretty okay...
accept that i was really blur... and they had to call me back from a previous station because i didn't take the new student pass...

and then the CCA part.
well... the people at the end station asked me what course i was taking...
and then when i said aerospace,
one group of people approached me to advertise.
OMG

they were so funny and nice...
anyways... i'm going to attend the camp and BBQ...

this is the 30th post on my blog....

anyways...
this morning, i called up my company to ask why wasn't my salary coming... (it's already the start of the month)....
and then i went off for work...
and i found that i made a silly mistake of giving the wrong set-up box for the cable tv to a customer... my boss wasn't really mad... maybe because that i made a really good deal with that customer LOL

had fun today at work... as usual....

but it rained alot today... my jeans were totally soaked and they stink...
when i came back from work, my cheque was waiting for me at home...
MUAHAHAHA~
my first ever salary earned from hard work, tired legs from the long endless hours of standing, talking and promoting...
it was a really nice number- $468... i calculated and i found that i earned 70 over dollars from my commission! not bad eh?

YEAH!!

today i woke up especially early... for mass.... before rushing off for work...

worked for 10 hours today.... with less than 15 minutes of resting + sitting down time...
so my legs hurt like hell now...

but asides from that, I had fun working... promoting phones... securing deals... i feel really satisfied with my current holiday job... see if my school would allow me to work on the weekends when my new school starts...
then i can earn extra money to buy clothes!~

but the disadvantage is that it would be equivalent to having less time to rest after the hectic weekdays... no time to go out with friends... just chill out...

sometimes my colleague piss me off...
she's a new full-timer... but she reminds me of another friend i had...
exactly the same type of actions and responds to certain actions i make...
and the same body type...
and when i do the paperwork, she stands real close to me... and i tell her to step back a bit and give me some space to move at least... and she still stays there... like a brick...

seriously annoying... and when i wanna do something, she'd snatch like the phone away or something... these type of people can really get on my nerves at times... but other than this forceful/slightly selfish side of her, she's really okay as a colleague and friend...

but the thing is, my other friend often pisses me off with exactly the same reasons...
with that forceful and rude personality... like roughly pushing me aside to get something...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR~

enough ranting.... if she does something to piss me... then i'd just ignore her.... or just say i can't have space to do things if she stays so close to me...

i went for medical check-up again...
for the eye test...
and guess what?

The nurse suspected that i had lazy eye... on my right eye...
the vision difference between my left and right eye is a WHOLE lot of difference...

going to see the eye doctor next week...
i hope i dont have lazy eye... it kinda sucks if i have it...

anyways...
work was okay as usual...
but one of our computers broke down...
and my boss got pissed trying to fix it...
in the end it was okay...
need to sleep now...

today i went for mass...
because I didn't go for Sunday mass....
and couldn't find time to go...

after that i went to Yishun...
was meeting my friend...
but her teacher made them stay back...

so i ended up killing time alone....
was wondering about my daily pocket money...

my food expenses always ensure that i use up all the money... (and i thought i could save!)

i window-shopped around...
found some stuff to buy after i get my salary to use in poly...
can't wait for school to start!!
i really wonder how school would be...
from an all girls school, to an all-boys course...
interesting....

and then after that, i got bored...
so i wandered downstairs (in this shopping centre in yishun)
there was a whole lot of food...
got seriously tempted to buy...

and stuck in a corner of KFC shivering in the cold air-conditioner for an hour waiting for time to pass...

after time passed... i went to work...

actually work was rather enjoyable...
i get really comfortable talking to strangers now...

DISASTER MEDICAL CHECK-UP!

in the morning i went to the clinic for the compulsory poly check-up...
and it was pretty much a disaster...

firstly, i forgot to bring my admission number slip... so i couldn't submit the results yet...
i created quite a commotion on how to salvage the situation...
the first 10 seconds i stepped in, and it's already a problem...
and then... after going for the X-ray, Height and Weight test, i was supposed to go for the urine test...

i tried peeing... but had no pee T.T
so i tried for 2 times... unsuccessfully... i drank quite alot of water already... but it's not my fault that i don't really have pee... toilet breaks are like super rare to me because on average i only make like- 3 trips only!?

i had to lie to the nurse that i lost the indicator to get another one (there are SOOOOOO many guys around... so embarrassing~)
but the third time i succeeded (phew~)
and yes...

the eye test!!
my left eye was perfect... but my right eye- was terrible...
couldn't even see a word~
then they suspected i had lazy eye O.o

so the nurses advised me to go and put new glasses... THEN take the test...

hence,
i would have to collect my new glasses and then take my admission number slip back to the clinic again (thank god i don't have to take another urine test~)

such a terrible morning right!?
anyways...
after that i ate alot... because the doctor told me I was slightly under-weighed... (that's because of my lunner-food-diet)

had a lazy afternoon in MOS burger before going for work...

work was pretty cool btw...

i so didn't update Monday's entry...
so here goes~

i like working on weekdays...
get to have the whole afternoon to myself before going off to work in the evenings...
it's like still having a holiday, but with a small commitment to fulfill too...

anyways...
i caused a small commotion that day because my colleagues realized i didn't know alot of things...
like how to calculate GST with a normal calculator (LMAO)... even though that was because i was used to using the advanced version... but anyways... they were wondering how i managed to get 13 points for my O levels... (are they doubting my intelligence!??????)

i chilled the whole afternoon watching tv and using the com after a hectic weekend...
this is what i call a well-deserved rest~

a cool model NOKIA came out with- 5800 (it's an advantage of working in a handphone shop- you know the latest releases)....

yo pepps...
yesterday was a seriously fun day...

even though we were really busy at times... trying hard to get customers buying...
but we had lots of fun lar...
imitating... playing with the latest gadgets (my colleague bought a super LG phone) and we ended up playing with that... using it to film customers... (seems like they didn't mind~)

and a customer bought a super wet umbrella into our shop...
and basically created muddy puddles into a seemingly dry and clean shop (i swept the floor!)
my boss chased him out... LOL

we had fun eating our lunner too...
and they were saying how weird my eating habits are....
because they realized that i didn't even eat a durian before... or that they couldn't understand why i didn't want chilli in my nasi lemak...

HAHA...
i had the highest KPI among all my colleagues today... (YAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
basically because i was lucky enough to promote, by chance, to a super wealthy customer... who had 2 daughters in tow... and the girls were arguing which phone was the best...
at the end, he took the eight hundred dollar phone... and i seriously couldn't believe it when he asked the price... and casually said 'okay'... like he just agreed to buy an eight dollar umbrella...
and he was using it as his spare phone
WOW...

i took some pictures of my ideal phone... even though the color was disgusting... but just imagine that the color was a soft, baby pink...

this is me updating my blog 3 days later...
anyways... 3 days ago, my day wasn't that cool..

grrrrrrrrrrrrr.......
my boss got really pissed off because a customer bought a F480 from me and paid NETS...
but the payment didn't get through... and i actually let the customer leave the shop...
at the end, we had to pay for the loss... at least the payment was below 100 dollars...
we couldn't contact the customer... and then the boss threw the phone on the table...
it was pretty scary...

anyways...
the mood later was totally different...
my boss ate his lunner...
NOTE: that's what I'm gonna call it from now on...
because we hardly have time to eat our lunch and dinner, that's why we combine both meals...
LUN-ch + din-NER = LUN-NER
and we eat that meal at 4-5 plus... anyone wants to lose weight can try adopting that diet...
it really helps to lose weight even though i was actually trying to GAIN weight...

and it smelt so good... i got really close to his lunner... and then we all laughed... because my other colleagues got busy trying to guard it from me...

today my work was smooth-sailing...
except for the fact that my boss kept rubbing it in that I could have persuaded this customer to buy accessories...
and that after promoting to so many customers, none of them bought anything (recession's on what!)

guess what?
i just got praised by my boss today...

I completed a deal... and did all the necessary paperwork by myself.... then the guy, who is a 'newbie', was like 'worshiping' me... and told me I was amazing and smart... then my boss joined in...

note: My boss is known for his harsh scoldings...

anyways, he said that he only taught me a few times... and i got the hang of it already... and then told him proudly i was from this particular school (it's considered pretty elite in my country)...

and later, when i was promoting to another customer, I overheard the boss telling the newbies that I was only a student and working part-time, and something about how they should learn from me... the 2 pepps were in their twenties so yeah XD

I felt really embarrassed, confident, and ecstatic at the same time... i wanted to be a 'pro' in my 2nd week... and I really accomplished it after 11 days...

WOW~ after the tremendous stress and pressure I've been through... and how I was freaked out a few days ago because my bosses criticized me badly... I think I already met their expectations...

because i was told that the newbies he taught became pros after a week or so... I think I didn't break his reputation and the 'usual cycle'... and this job was my first ever... in my entire life... and is one of the most challenging part-time jobs out there...

today my boss had his off day...
and we had 2 newbies today...
one guy and one girl...
i initially thought that she was a guy.... until the moment she spoke-

she's really quiet and everything... and follows me around the shop... maybe she thought i was cool or something... LOL

and the guy was really wacky and funny... reminds me of my secondary school friend, whom i'm quite close to... i really miss her now :(
yeah, and he bullies me, makes lame jokes... imitates customers...
but both of them are like- older than me... by how many years i dunno...

so i basically had fun today... but i don't really feel THAT happy... dunno why...
maybe i really wanted to like- seriously work... and not fool around like what i did today...

but when my boss comes back tomorrow, i would be working seriously...

i was checking the school website a few days ago, and I found out that the ratio of boys to girls in my faculty (EEE) last year was 4:1... scary man.... but i still want school to start... i kinda miss studying now... and aerospace is such a challenging and interesting course....

my work today was successful... i had fun... and i think i am getting used to my new job already....
and the best thing is that i can make money out of it... the pay every month plus commission is something i find hard to imagine...

but my back and legs hurt.... even though my brain is getting used to work, but my body still isn't...

Just managed to get through 9 hours of work...

i could see that my promoting improved...
my boss only said I needed to speak louder...

i just had a very unexpected day today...
i memorized all the prices, models, features and contracts for 4 hours before leaving for work today...

at least I tried my very best...
maybe that's why i didn't get criticized as usual like any other day...
not even a word of complaint....

i'm seriously sad today...
because my bosses criticized me and said that I was weak in all the areas... especially promoting...
I was told i wasn't 'proactive' enough or even 'aggressive'... and then my product knowledge wasn't rich... that's why i couldn't chat with customers or find something to converse with them...

that, i admit.

being thrown into- like a totally different world... of phones, contracts, prices, plans...

wow

and working everyday

in a place that is totally un-near my place...

seriously, my friends were shocked when i told them i was working that far away...

but when my bosses asked me whether it was my first time working, I nodded and they said 'no wonder lar...'
then my own boss went of the shop for something, the other boss told me that he was actually a very strict person... it was really hard to pass his interviews- 2 guys who came earlier in the day, in which i wasn't present at that time, my boss didn't even wanted to glance at them...

but i was told only to fill up the application form... and he told me that the EP branches are really far away and I have to be prepared... I just nodded my head (vigorously)....
later that afternoon, I received a call from the HQ saying that i got the job~

I seem to have affinity with bosses... another incident 2 years ago, I was working as an intern in a company for a school project-sort-of-thing... I was told by a friend that the boss likes me~

today i had training...
i went out, thinking I had more than enough time to search for the place...
but i ended up spending so much time running in and out of buildings in chinatown...
was almost late... i called the centre, and they guided me... but i got confused because there were 2 different bridges connecting to Chinatown point... i crossed the wrong one... and spent so much times searching for what was not there...

GRRRRRRRRRRR~
but i finally found the place (thank god)

we had a 3 hour session... but the trainer had the most horrendous english i had ever heard...
the way she said 'downgrade' was like- 'dang gui'... i had to bite my lip to stop myself from bursting into laughter... there were only 2 people who came for the training- me and another guy...
the most embarrassing thing was that the trainer liked to ask me questions... and i got half of them wrong... and was corrected by that guy...

now i feel like killing myself...

anyways... after that i spotted him checking himself in the mirror in Chinapoint point... LOL
i was thinking- 'opps i caught ya~'

and then i ate a very satisfying lunch cum dinner at Subway... next time i should order a foot-long sandwich...

anyways...
yesterday was an okay day.... because my boss had his off day that day... so i didn't really have that much stress as i usually had... but the boss for that day commented that i need to change my tone when talking with the customers... talk to them like how i talk to my friends...- like how i do with my other devilicious mates!? (note: devilicious is the name of our 'clique' with my 2 other budds)

other than that, it's an 'okay' for the very first time~

i treated myself to some Western dish before going to work yesterday... for standing 9 hours for 2 consecutive days... LOL

i really want school to start now... but it's really impossible...
because you can't fast-forward time and i really want to receive this month's paycheck LOL

i was really tired when i came back from work, so i couldn't update yesterday's entry...
anyways...
i made a mistake yesterday, because i was so engrossed in doing the procedures for an application, that i submitted what i should not have... because the customer changed her mind lol~
grrrrrr... and i was told i still lacked confidence... i think the sales sector is really challenging... and it's something really new to me... i really hope i can catch up...-FAST~
gosh, and my legs were breaking after work... but after 9 hours of sleep it's much better...

btw...
i just received a call from the training centre saying that they were waiting for me at there NOW...
but last night at 10 plus, i was called to say that it would be on Tuesday instead... how confusing is that??

I'm just freaking out now... it's my first job and i want to do it well... GRRRRR~
i don't even have time to do anything... it's like a huge drastic change from my lazy lifestyle where i couldn't find anything to do, to a seriously hectic one where i couldn't find time to do anything... (except update this blog maybe)

i think my promoting skills are improving...
but i still need to focus on my knowledge.... and my translation skills are like- <_<>be going for training next monday... I really hope i can be a pro after that.... my legs are like breaking now... worked for 9 hours today... grrrrrr....~ AND~ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

lol... i slept yesterday so i couldn't update yesterday's post...
there were even more criticism... my salesman skills weren't up to mark yet... boos
even this job had met my expectations, i just realized how far i was from reaching my own expectations...
I think I am getting used to this routine now... aside from multiple mistakes, the times I panicked, and how i couldn't remember info i had painstakingly memorized...
I really hope i could master everything by next week... the pressure's all mine XD

feelings about my first day

Back from my first day!

Overall, it was a really challenging job... and it met my expectations of a sales job...
but i came home feeling the burden of having memorizing mobile plans, details, prices... of course, I'm not complaining... but it's my first time feeling a deep sense of responsibility towards my job... the sense of responsibility was so great that I felt was much bigger than examinations in school...

But i'm confident that i would be one of the best sales persons!
I was supposed to check on something online about prices, but i'll do it later... now it's time to destress after work!... geez... why do i sound like a grown up now!?

btw... i found out that wonder girls got their dae sung!! congratz... but it reminds me of the time where BoA won hers 2 times... now i miss her in Korea O.o

i'm still having work tomorrow... basically i work everday... for 2 months...
But i still feel weird... after slacking for 3 months without nothing to do AT ALL, I'm suddenly working everyday like mad... big big change, but i'd have to get used to it...
I wonder when i would start getting sick of this job??

oh yeah... i just had my weekly reunion with the DEVILICIOUS!!~ and we ate in sakae sushi.. and i learnt alot about sushi... not my fault, I didn't really go to one before... so it was all new to me... haiz... JC seems to be seriously tough... haiz... 61 more days to my first day in poly!!!!
Time, PLEASE FAST FORWARD YOURSELF TO APRIL 13!!! PLE-EASE??

i got my first job today!
quite a miracle considering the recession now... and the fact that i have been looking for one for 3 months already...
and the pay's really good... $6/hr... my other friends who work in Macs got much lesser... ^^
